1. Who We Are and Scope
This website, finhavenarc.com (the “Website”), and our FinHavenArc Screener (the “Screener”), a free, open-source program that you download and install yourself and that delivers alerts through your own Telegram account, are provided by Jozsef Huszar, based in Hungary, European Union (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us directly at [email protected] or through our online contact form. Our mailing address is: Jozsef Huszar, Liliom utca 1, 2067 Szarliget, Hungary.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from visitors and users of the Website and the Screener (“you”), how we use and share it, and what choices and rights you have.
Our content is intended for readers in the United States, and this policy is written with U.S. privacy requirements in mind. Because we operate from the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies to our data processing. Section 8 covers visitors from the EU, EEA, and UK.
Which sections apply to you?
- All visitors: Sections 1–6 and 9–12.
- United States residents: Section 7 also applies.
- EU, EEA, and UK residents: Section 8 also applies.
The Screener at a glance. The Screener runs only on your own devices. We do not collect, receive, or have access to any data from your use of it. Before downloading, please read the Software License, which sets out the open-source terms and important notices. See Section 6 for details.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide.
- Contact information: your name, email address, and any details you send when you use our contact form, write to us, or ask for technical help. Please do not send us passwords, API keys, bot tokens, or account credentials.
- Newsletter subscription: your email address, and a record of when you subscribed and confirmed your subscription.
Information collected automatically.
- Log and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, language, operating system, referring and exit pages, date and time stamps, and clickstream data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4. This includes a record of your cookie choices.
Calculators and tools. Our calculators and charts run in your browser. The values you enter are not stored or transmitted to our servers. Please do not enter sensitive personal or account information.
We do not knowingly collect financial account numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information through the Website.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website;
- respond to your messages and requests, including requests for technical help;
- send the newsletter you have subscribed to, and manage your subscription;
- analyze how the Website is used and improve your experience;
- meet legal obligations and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of others.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies in two categories:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the Website to work and stay secure.
- Analytics: help us understand how the Website is used (for example, Google Analytics).
Your choices. You can accept, reject, or change your choice for analytics cookies at any time through the cookie settings on the Website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may then not work as intended. For visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Website and our business, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms:
- analytics providers (for example, Google Analytics);
- Resend, which we use to send our newsletter and manage subscriptions and unsubscribes;
- hosting, email, and other technical providers.
Some state privacy laws may treat certain analytics or advertising cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out through our cookie settings (see Section 4).
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others. If we are involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of the Website, your information may be transferred as part of it, subject to this policy.
6. FinHavenArc Screener (Software)
The Screener is a free, open-source program. You download and install it yourself, and it runs only on your own devices.
- No data to us. We do not collect, receive, or share any data from your use of the Screener, and it does not send data to us.
- Third parties. When you use it, your device connects directly to Telegram and to the data providers you choose. Telegram and those providers are independent third parties, and their own terms and privacy policies govern how they handle your data. We do not control them.
- Your credentials. Settings such as Telegram bot tokens or data-provider API keys are stored and managed by you on your own devices. We cannot see or recover them, and you are responsible for keeping them secure.
- Downloads. Downloading the Screener from the Website is covered by the log and usage data described in Section 2. If you download it from a third-party platform (for example, a code-hosting site), that platform’s own privacy policy also applies.
- License. Your use of the software is governed by the Software License. By downloading the Screener, you agree to the Software License and acknowledge this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read the license before you download.
More details are available on the dedicated Screener page.
7. U.S. Privacy Notices
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). Our Website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. Where required by applicable law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). You can also control cookies as described in Section 4.
U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live and whether the law applies to us, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, correct, or delete it, to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, to appeal our decision on a request, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us through our contact form or at [email protected]. You may also use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of that authorization. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, which may be extended where the law allows). If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us at the same address.
Email (CAN-SPAM). We send newsletters only to people who subscribe and confirm their subscription. Every email includes our mailing address and a working unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests as soon as possible and within 10 business days at the latest. Our newsletters are for general information only and are not investment advice (see our Financial Disclaimer).
8. Visitors from the EU, EEA, and UK

9. Children
The Website and the Screener are intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it promptly.
10. Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires:

- Contact messages and inquiries: retained for up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Analytics and technical log data: retained for up to 14 months from the date of collection.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
